Zumba ® fitness

This class utilizes dance moves to provide fun and variety to your cardio workout.


These classes increase your heart rate through dance.

Zumba® Gold

This class is based on the same dance moves used in the original Zumba® class. The Gold class, however, is less intense, with dance routines designed for beginners and older adults using modified movements. 


Physical conditioning through Latin dance moves and water exercise. Shallow water, medium impact and a cardiovascular workout is all part of this class! Good for beginners and intermediate exercisers.

While Zumba® is safe and effective for people of all ability levels, and when done correctly is safe for knees, hips, lower back, and joints – the shoes you wear will affect your class experience. Wear fitness shoes, however because Zumba® involves dance your shoes must be able to pivot. Do not wear shoes with lots of traction. Running shoes are NOT recommended. You need a shoe that allows your foot to pivot on the ball of the foot without putting pressure on your knees or hips. If you have dance style shoes in your closet make sure they have the proper support for a fitness class.

Zumba® classes are FREE for Y members. Registration not necessary. Guests may visit the Y up to 3 times per year and attend classes, space permitting. Download Guest Pass.
